Interim strategies and recommended improvements are needed by October 2006 for input into the development of the next TIP and RTP as well as local Comprehensive Transportation Plans. As such, specific projects complete with scope and cost estimates will need to be included in these interim recommendations.
One of the key pieces to providing these projects, some "quick start" and other longer term projects, is the involvement of the Freight Task Force and other private sector stakeholders. For that reason, we are proposing accelerating this task to allow for sufficient vetting with the task force, TAC and other relevant stakeholders before finalizing.
