The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Board is composed of officials of political subdivisions and private citizens representing districts of approximately the same population within the 10-county, 68-city Atlanta Region.

The Atlanta Regional Workforce Board (ARWB) is responsible for providing policy guidance for the Workforce Investment Act Service Area designated by the Governor representing Cherokee, Clayton, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties.

Committees established within the Commission include:

All members of the ARC Board serve on at least one committee and additional committee members can be appointed from outside ARC.

The committees meet monthly to consider specific subjects referred to them by staff, the Commission or initiated by the committee itself.

The Commission may also, from time-to-time, appoint special purpose task forces or organize collaborative efforts to examine issues affecting the Atlanta Region or to help and/or to implement projects or programs to effect positive community change.
