Global Atlanta Works

Global Atlanta Works is an initiative of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) that works with the region’s growing ethnic, racial and international communities to foster greater collaboration and provide community-building tools. The main goal of the program is larger than mere assimilation; it enhances community engagement  processes and empowers our newest arrivals with improved access to information and services. A committed group of regional leaders from diverse backgrounds serve as the program's advisory committee.

At  www.globalatlantaworks.com, you will learn more about the various components of this unique planning initiative, including:

  • Community Conversations — A series of small roundtable discussions around the Atlanta region designed to connect racial and ethnic community leaders with decision makers across sectors including education, business, government, faith-based, and non-profit.
  • Global Atlanta Snapshots — A publication series featuring 20 major ethnic communities living and working in the Atlanta region.
  • Global Atlanta Works Newsletter — An e-newsletter addressing the economic impacts of the region’s increasing diversity and including the latest ongoing and exciting new developments in the Global Atlanta Works program.
  • Multicultural Resource Directory — A web-based link to multicultural communities.  Search for resources and organizations serving racial, ethnic and international communities
  • Demographic Data
  • Interactive Mapping of Ethnic Minority Communities
  • Calendar of Events
  • and more ...
