The Atlanta Region
ARC is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency for the 10-county Atlanta area, but also produces and collects data for a larger, 20-county area for air quality purposes, and provides services in some counties that it does not provide in others. So, the Atlanta region is defined in many different ways. This section of the site should help clear things up (PDF).
GIS Data and Maps
ARC's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division provides support and products to our planning staff and the public. GIS combines database information with geographic features, requiring hardware, software, data and people to create effective tools that can be used to view, query, analyze and map our region and world.
Older Adults in the Atlanta Region
This statistically valid survey, completed by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, examines the preferences and habits of older adults in metro Atlanta. Data are available at both the regional and the county level.
Regional Snapshots
Regional Snapshots is a series of monthly publications that compile the latest data to explore important regional issues.
Source Water Assessment Project
Source water assessments are studies and reports, unique to each water system, that provide basic information about the water source used to provide drinking water.
