For over 20 years, the Atlanta Regional Senior Employment Collaborative and Metro Atlanta Mature Worker Project have hosted the Metro Atlanta Awards Luncheon. This popular awards luncheon focuses on the achievements of older adults in the workplace and recognizes all who are nominated. Supervisors and nominators often attend with their nominees to share this special recognition with them.  The annual event calls attention to the more than 400,000 older adults in the region, 40 percent of whom are still active in the work place.
