Envision6 Regional Transportation Plan Interactive Mapping
Want to know what’s planned in your community or county? Interested in particular types of projects, such as HOV lanes or bicycle and pedestrian facilities? This site allows you to create and view customized maps of transportation projects  anywhere in the Atlanta region. And once you identify projects of interest, fact sheets with detailed information with costs and construction schedules can be downloaded or printed. ARC is pleased to provide this capability to you through an innovative online mapping system developed using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology.
This site contains information for the Envision6 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), adopted by the ARC Board on September 26, 2007. The short-range component of Envision6 is called the FY 2008-2013 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). All TIP projects are part of the RTP. To determine if a project is in the TIP, make note of the project's implementation status. TIP projects are assigned an implementation status of "Programmed", while RTP projects are classified as "Long Range".
Please note that relying exclusively on this Web site does not give the user a complete picture of the contents of Envision6. Many regional programs, such as transit vehicle purchases and transportation demand management initiatives, cannot be mapped since they are not associated with any particular corridor or intersection. Also, some project types, like bicycle and pedestrian facilities, signal coordination projects and minor intersection improvements, are only defined as lump sums beyond the six years of the TIP and so no projects are mapped in the “long range” years.
