Transportation & Air Quality Committee

Function
The 29-member Transportation and Air Quality Committee (TAQC) functions as the transportation policy committee of the Atlanta Regional Commission Board and represents an 18-county area. It develops consensus among ARC, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GA EPD) and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA). TAQC addresses transportation-related policy matters affecting the Atlanta region. TAQC submits recommendations directly to ARC and holds regular scheduled meetings that are open to the public.
