ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Are you a people person? Do you have what it takes to be Inspector of the Year? We're looking for a crackerjack Engineering Inspector with boundless energy and ideas galore. You'll be the star player in performing and overseeing inspections of site developments throughout the City to help protect our natural resources and the safety of our citizens.  

The position aids in ensuring the safety and well being of the general public by inspecting, reporting, and ensuring adherence to building, engineering and environmental codes on all types of development projects associated with soil erosion and sedimentation control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Along with a great work ethic, you'll need sound judgment skills and patience to prove that you can deal with a variety of people. Being responsive to residents adds to the sustainability of a place to live, work, and play. You should also be versatile, multi-tasking and willing to work in all facets of engineering and development. BS civil engineering, environmental science or related field required along with 2-3 years of related work experience. Effective oral and written communications skills and excellent interpersonal skills are a must. Opportunity for growth available.
