Workforce Development is constantly taking part in opportunities to further enhance the services offered to businesses and individual clients. Through collaborative partnerships with businesses, partner agencies and economic development agencies and activities; we promote the region's availability of qualified and skilled workers .

Community Based Job Training Grant (PDF) - Georgia Perimeter College and a group of partners were awarded a 2-year Community Based Job Training Grant to educate healthcare professionals with a focus on the field of Nursing.
Georgia Health Care Career Ladder (PDF) - A demonstration project for the Council for Adult and Expermental Learning.
School At Work (PDF) - An Incumbent Worker Training program that provides opportunity for entry level employees in non medical positions to advance to higher level positions through distance learning and bridging to local community colleges. St. Joseph's Hospital, VA Medical Center, Children's Hospital and Emory University Hospital have current or soon to be implemented classes.
CNA to LPN Bridge Project (PDF) - The CNA Bridge program was a special pilot project which was originally funded with a healthcare grant from the Georgia Department of Labor. Although this special project has ended, it can be replicated on an individual basis by CNAs seeking to bridge to LPN.
Hispanic PCA to CNA Bridge Project (PDF) - A community partnership to provide Certified Nurse Assistant training with necessary English Language Instruction to Hispanic Citizens in Gwinnett and DeKalb County, Georgia.
CVS Pharmacy Customized Training (PDF) - A three-tiered pharmacy technician training program developed in partnership with CVS.
