GIS Training

The Atlanta Regional Commission offers ESRI authorized ArcGIS training to local government personnel only at a reduced rate.

ArcGIS Desktop Foundational Training

The ArcGIS Desktop foundational training curriculum is designed to help you master critical GIS skills and be productive right away with the ArcGIS 10 tools for visualizing, analyzing and managing geographic data. The first part of the series is designed for individuals who do not have prior GIS education or workplace experience, and for managers and GIS support staff who infrequently use ArcGIS and need to understand how GIS fits into their organization. The latter part of the series is designed for GIS analysts, GIS specialists and other experienced ArcGIS users who want to extend their basic ArcGIS skills in the areas of data creation and editing, geoprocessing models and GIS analysis. Each course is taught by an ESRI-authorized instructor. Note: There are only 12 spots in each class.

*SPACES ARE AVAILABLE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND SCHOOL DISTRICT EMPLOYEES ONLY ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.

Participants should be proficient in the use of Windows-based software. Please contact us to determine which GIS course best suits your current skill level.

All GIS courses will be held at the Atlanta Regional Commission - 3rd Floor Training Room, Downtown Atlanta.
