Publications
Regional Roundup
The ARC Local Government Services Division strives to provide city and county officials with a regular update on regional issues, happenings and challenges. This newsletter is unique in that it is composed of information that matters most to elected officials and it is organized and presented on a sub-regional basis.
Northeast (focus on Gwinnett & DeKalb)
Northwest (focus on Cobb, Cherokee, & North Fulton)
Southeast (focus on Clayton, Henry, & Rockdale)
Southwest (focus on Douglas, Fayette, & South Fulton)
Economic Development
The 10-county Atlanta region is a designated Economic Development District (EDD). EDD designation is necessary in order to qualify for Economic Development (EDA) Administration assistance, which can ultimately be utilized to create alternative economies, fund job training and attract investment to diverse parts of the region. To this end, ARC has created a quarterly newsletter for local government economic development professionals and implemented quarterly luncheons for communities to share relevant economic development challenges, issues and opportunities.
Econ Info: A quarterly newsletter for local government economic development professionals in the Atlanta region.
Manager's Memo and Meeting Notes
The Local Government Services Division organizes City and County Manager Meetings on a quarterly basis for metro-area local government managers. These meetings are designed to provide an opportunity for regional city and county managers to meet, network and share ideas on the issues facing Atlanta-area communities. To facilitate info sharing and add value to these meetings, we publish a Manager's Memo and a Meeting Summary to accompany every meeting and circulate the valuable input our regional managers provide at each meeting.
