I learned a great deal from the excellent presenters at the Regional Leadership Institute as well as the interaction with my colleagues from the metro area. The experience was well worth the time and investment. If you are a leader interested in learning how we can all work together for the betterment of the Atlanta area, RLI is the perfect course to learn how you can begin to make a difference.

The Participants

Each year RLI graduates and other community leaders are asked to recommend the program to potential participants. However, anyone, cross-sector and cross-county, who aspires to be a leader or a more effective leader in the region may apply. Class members are selected based on demonstrated leadership in the community. The selection process maximizes diversity in gender, race, ethnicity, occupational affiliation and geography to achieve accurate representation of the region.

What are the benefits of attending RLI

Today's regional challenges require a new problem-solving capacity and the ability to work across political, geographical and institutional boundaries. Through RLI, leaders develop a broader awareness of the region in which they live, work and play. They also acquire a greater knowledge of the interdependence of the diverse communities that constitute the Atlanta region. The program focuses on topics relevant to current trends and issues.
