Strategic Regional Thoroughfare Plan

This plan is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).

The Strategic Regional Thoroughfare Plan (SRTP) is now complete!  As Metro-Atlanta streets are becoming more diverse in accommodating various types of uses (e.g., vehicular travel, pedestrian travel, economic development, emergency access, etc...), there has been an emerging need to more effectively manage and improve them.  The SRTP identified the Regional Thoroughfare Network (RTN), which is a collection of the most critical surface roads in the region.  The SRTP provides innovative guidance that can be applied to the RTN in order to boost the level of corridor planning and improvement to such a critical network.  The SRTP ultimately integrates several transportation and land use disciplines together resulting in greater synergy among them.  All of the final documentation is included below and are in PDF format unless otherwise noted.
