The Atlanta Regional Workforce Board works with businesses, education and government entities to ensure that the region’s workforce meets the needs of the business community. Services include employee recruitment, customized training projects, on the job training, assistance in rightsizing, and economic development partnerships.

Employee Recruitment
Atlanta Regional Commission’s Workforce Development provides recruitment services at no cost through a series of local Career Resource Centers. Connecting local businesses with qualified job applicants can save time and money for businesses in managing their HR activities.

On-the-Job Training
On-the-Job Training (OJT) offers businesses opportunity to recoup part of their training costs for new hires, while employees gain the experience and expertise to complete the job at a productive level. Retention Bonus program rewards business for employee retention and is an added incentive to lowering HR cost by reduction in turnover.

Rapid Response to Business Closings & Layoff Assistance
The Atlanta Regional Workforce Board (ARWB) offers services through its network of Career Resource Centers designed to assist displaced workers in returning to work as soon as possible. This assistance may be in the form of training, job search assistance, and resume preparation.
